The agri-food sector can now submit applications for the next edition of the Catalan Agri-Food Technological Innovation Awards, an initiative promoted by the Government of Catalonia that aims to recognize talent, innovation, and sustainability within the agri-food and forestry chain.<\/p>\n

These awards recognize companies and entrepreneurs who have developed innovative solutions\u2014whether in product, process, or management\u2014capable of improving the sector’s competitiveness and sustainability.<\/p>\n

\"Premios<\/p>\n

Four Categories to Boost Innovation<\/p>\n

The awards include a total prize fund of \u20ac8,000, in addition to four nominations of \u20ac4,000 each in the following categories:<\/p>\n

Agricultural Company: aimed at initiatives that incorporate innovations in production or management processes, with the potential to become benchmarks for the sector.<\/p>\n

Agribusiness: Recognizes improvements in processes, products, management, or business strategies within the agri-food processing industry.
\nYoung Innovative Entrepreneur: For individuals between 18 and 40 years old who stand out for their entrepreneurial spirit and the application of innovative solutions in the agricultural or agri-food sector.
\nSocial Innovation: Focused on companies that promote the employment integration of people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion within the sector.<\/p>\n

Application Deadline<\/p>\n

The application period will be open from April 15 to May 15, 2026 (inclusive).<\/p>\n

An Opportunity for the Meat Sector<\/p>\n

These awards represent a particularly relevant opportunity for companies in the meat sector, where innovation in production processes, sustainability, digitalization, and animal welfare is key to meeting current market challenges.<\/p>\n
