In this context, the collaboration between PROVACUNO and the Catholic University of Murcia has launched a program of educational activities aimed at different age groups, from schoolchildren to senior citizens.

During the first months of the year, this initiative has carried out various training activities in schools, community centers, and local events, with the goal of introducing key concepts about nutrition, health, and sustainability.

Science and Food from an Early Age

Among the activities carried out, workshops for primary school students stand out. These workshops introduced students to research in the field of nutrition and health. Through hands-on activities, students were able to experiment with food and understand processes such as oxidation and the quality of meat products, fostering an interest in the science applied to food.

Furthermore, within the framework of local initiatives, educational activities have been carried out focusing on explaining the journey of food from its origin to the consumer, using games and activities adapted for young children to reinforce concepts such as sustainability and the production chain.

Nutritional Education for Adolescents

Secondary school students have also participated in training sessions focused on the importance of a balanced diet during adolescence. These activities have addressed aspects such as essential nutrients, the evolution of dietary guidelines, and the role of protein in development.

The sessions have included simple experiments to visualize how different processes affect food, facilitating a more practical and accessible understanding.

Nutrition and Well-being in Old Age

The program has also focused on older adults, with specific workshops aimed at promoting healthy eating habits. These sessions have highlighted the importance of adequate protein intake to maintain muscle mass and energy, as well as adapting foods to the needs of this population.

Through participatory activities, attendees were able to design balanced menus, integrating different food groups and adapting them to their needs.

Knowledge Transfer to Society as a Whole

These types of initiatives reinforce the importance of bringing scientific information closer to consumers, promoting informed and conscious eating. For the meat sector as a whole, actions like these contribute to improving knowledge about the nutritional value of animal protein and its role in a balanced diet.

Scientific and nutritional outreach regarding animal protein continues to gain prominence in Spain thanks to new initiatives that connect knowledge […]

[1097,1096,1111
1362
post-24827","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-anafric-en","category-sector-en","category-vacuno-en","tag-provacuno-en
["GET
