During the second quarter of the year, the PROVACUNO-UCAM Chair strengthened its research and outreach activities with various initiatives aimed at both the scientific community and the general public. Its objective is to continue generating knowledge about beef, its nutritional value, and its role in a balanced diet.<\/p>\n

One of its key achievements was its participation in the 13th National Congress of Food Science and Technology (CyTA-CESIA), held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, one of the most important scientific gatherings in the food sector in Spain. During the congress, the Chair presented two research papers on beef proteins and their potential health benefits, related to antioxidant and antihypertensive activity.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, within the framework of the 5th CYTA Junior National Congress, PROVACUNO organized a workshop for university students on the nutritional quality and sustainability of beef, introducing future professionals to the importance of evidence-based nutrition.<\/p>\n

The outreach activities also reached the older population. In collaboration with the Red Cross Day Center in Alhama de Murcia, the Chair conducted a practical workshop on balanced nutrition for seniors, highlighting the role of beef protein in helping to maintain muscle mass and promote active and healthy aging. The session included nutritional recommendations and simple cooking suggestions to facilitate the daily consumption of beef.<\/p>\n

With these initiatives, PROVACUNO continues its commitment to research, training, and scientific dissemination as tools to enhance the value of beef and promote healthy, knowledge-based eating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
