The gathering will combine solidarity and scientific outreach with a gala dinner, live music, and a presentation by Dr. Javier Cortés, president of the Foundation.

With its participation, ANAFRIC aims to contribute to raising awareness and support for a cause in which research is crucial for continued progress in prevention, diagnosis, and more effective and personalized treatments. The collaboration also reflects the association’s commitment to supporting initiatives that generate a positive impact on society and to involving the business community in projects capable of transforming research into new opportunities for patients.

The “Contigo Dinner” has become one of the Foundation’s key fundraising events. The 2025 edition brought together 290 attendees from institutions, businesses, and civil society, and the funds raised were allocated to Project Phenix, focused on metastatic HER2+ breast cancer.

Research to Transform the Future of Women’s Cancer
The Contigo Foundation, chaired by oncologist Dr. Javier Cortés, has the mission of promoting scientific projects that improve early diagnosis, advance innovative treatments, and offer increasingly personalized care to patients. The Foundation focuses its activity on clinical and translational research and is currently working on various lines of research related to breast cancer and other gynecological tumors.

Among the new projects for 2026 are initiatives such as G_LATiN, which investigates the relationship between obesity, metabolism, and triple-negative breast cancer; RIBOMA, focused on developing an RNA-based blood test to advance the early detection of breast cancer; and MIMIC-TNBC, which studies how the microbiota, metabolism, and immune system can influence the response to immunotherapy in patients with triple-negative breast cancer.

Also underway are projects such as HER2-SCENE and SINGNEO-TC, which use advanced cell analysis technologies to deepen our understanding of HER2-positive and triple-negative tumors; BREASTils-CAR-tTCR, focused on studying the immune response to triple-negative breast cancer to advance personalized medicine strategies; and MAMARET, which investigates new therapeutic possibilities for advanced luminal breast cancer resistant to certain treatments. and PRIsma, whose objective is to advance towards a personalized estimation of the risk of developing breast cancer in healthy women in the Spanish population.

This research addresses some of the Foundation’s main lines of work: better understanding the tumor microenvironment, studying the mechanisms that cause resistance to treatments, and delving deeper into the cellular biology of tumors to develop better diagnostic and therapeutic tools.

Corporate commitment also drives research. For ANAFRIC, participating in initiatives like the “Dinner with You” means joining forces from the business sector to address a challenge that affects society as a whole. Research needs scientific knowledge, but also collaboration, resources, and a network of committed entities, companies, and individuals that allow projects to become real advances.

The Foundation emphasizes the importance of corporate collaboration as one of the ways to accelerate the research it promotes. Individual contributions and the commitment of collaborating companies help sustain projects aimed at making progress against the different tumors that affect women.

The Foundation itself summarizes the purpose of events like the one in Port d’Aro in three concepts: solidarity, hope, and innovation. The goal is for the involvement of institutions, businesses, and civil society to continue driving scientific programs capable of improving the diagnosis and treatment of women’s cancer.

With its collaboration in the 2026 edition, ANAFRIC joins this collective commitment and helps reinforce an essential message: supporting research means contributing to creating new opportunities for the future of thousands of women and their families.

More information about the Contigo Foundation’s research projects

ANAFRIC is joining as a collaborating entity for the third edition of the Contigo Port d’Aro Dinner 2026, a fundraising […]

[1097,1096
2341,3376
post-25775","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-anafric-en","category-sector-en","tag-cancer-en","tag-fundacion-contigo-en
["GET
