The association received notification from SIMA (Interconfederal Service for Mediation and Arbitration) regarding this strike call after mediation efforts today concluded without an agreement. During that session, ANAFRIC presented its own proposal to help break the deadlock in negotiations.

ANAFRIC rejects the characterization of its organization as an obstacle to progress. The strike call is inconsistent with the commitment to dialogue and agreement that the association has demonstrated through concrete proposals. The association believes that calling a strike is unreasonable; this cycle of confrontation must end to allow for the alignment of positions and to avoid work stoppages that would harm both companies and their employees. SIMA has summoned the business organizations for October 19 to appoint a mediator.

The proposal presented by ANAFRIC to SIMA—submitted before the strike was announced—includes salary increases of 3.8% for 2026, 2% for 2027, and 3% for 2028. These are accompanied by adjustment clauses—applicable should the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) exceed these figures in the respective years—capped at 1%, 1.5%, and 1.5%, respectively. These clauses function as mechanisms distinct from the fixed salary increases, and their implementation will depend on the final terms agreed upon. The offer is contingent upon reaching a joint agreement on measures for organization, prevention, and the management of absenteeism.

A proposal that addresses the challenges faced by companies

ANAFRIC maintains that the new collective agreement should facilitate operational planning and improve productivity, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Its proposals include requirements for notifying the company of temporary incapacity, improved regulation regarding unjustified absences and time-tracking fraud, and the implementation of preventive measures for high-risk roles, in compliance with all relevant legal safeguards.

The association emphasizes that absenteeism requires concrete responses. While monitoring bodies can provide data and facilitate analysis, they must ultimately lead to solutions that help prevent absences, better manage their impact, and strengthen occupational health and safety.

A participatory negotiation process driven by a commitment to reaching an agreement

During the session, ANAFRIC requested that a formal statement be added to the record, expressing its concern regarding the progress of the negotiations and the lack of response to its proposals. The organization calls for business-side proposals to be developed with the participation of all the entities that make up this representative group, and for the diversity of these perspectives to be respected; it has openly questioned the recent shift away from the unified approach that had previously been in place.

ANAFRIC urges all parties to clearly define their positions and seek a balance between improvements for workers and the capacity of companies—especially SMEs—to implement them.

The association remains committed to working toward a sustainable agreement that brings stability to the sector and introduces practical tools for organizing work and enhancing business competitiveness.

ANAFRIC expresses its opposition to the strike called by the unions CCOO de Industria and UGT-FICA for November 9, 10, […]

[1097,1096
2542
post-26260","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-anafric-en","category-sector-en","tag-convenio-colectivo-en
["GET
