ANAFRIC has signed a framework collaboration agreement with the Department of Education and Vocational Training of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government) to promote internships in meat sector companies within the framework of Dual Vocational Training.
This agreement will allow students of vocational training courses related to the food industry and the marketing of meat products to complete part of their training in ANAFRIC-affiliated companies in Catalonia, thus contributing to improving their professional qualifications, employability, and direct knowledge of the sector.
According to José Friguls, president of ANAFRIC, “this agreement reinforces our sector’s commitment to the training and job placement of young people, fostering a real link between business and education.”
Interested member companies may join the agreement through a specific commitment document and host students on training placements in accordance with the plans agreed upon with the educational centers.
The agreement includes training courses such as:
CFGM in Food Product Preparation and Marketing
CFGS in Processes and Quality in the Food Industry
PFI in Assistant in Meat and Logistics Establishments
The Institut dels Aliments de Barcelona will be the first educational center to implement this agreement, which will enter into force on September 1, 2025, and will initially last four years.
With this step, ANAFRIC reaffirms its commitment to actively contribute to the training of future professionals in the meat sector, strengthening the competitiveness, quality, and sustainability of the Catalan meat industry.
For more information or to join, member companies can contact ANAFRIC via email or through their usual communication channels.
