ANAFRIC joins the Board of Directors of PIMEC to defend the meat sector

ANAFRIC is now part of the new Board of Directors of PIMEC (Small and Medium Enterprises of Catalonia), thus strengthening its presence and influence in the main areas of economic and business representation. The objective is to defend the interests of the meat sector within the platform and contribute to the implementation of policies that prioritise SMEs.

ANAFRIC was already represented in the employers’ association, occupying the vice-presidency of agri-food. Now it is taking a further step with its incorporation into the Board of Directors.

In this new mandate, the Board of Directors has 30% new members, representatives of unions, associations and individual companies, thus guaranteeing a combination of experience and renewal to face future challenges. In addition, a balanced representation of all sectors and territories is ensured, achieving for the first time a gender parity criterion of 40%-60%.

From ANAFRIC, José Friguls, its president, celebrates “this opportunity to continue working for the meat sector in a space of great influence such as PIMEC, consolidating our commitment to SMEs and the economic and social progress of the country.”
