The Regional Minister for Climate Action, Agriculture and Food of the Generalitat, Teresa Jordà, has presented the new Catalan Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change 2021-2030 (ESCACC30). It is a strategy with 312 measures to facilitate adaptation to new climate scenarios.
The measures include:
- Strengthening the primary sector.
- Respond to social and territorial vulnerability caused by climate change.
The strategy will be applied to 10 socioeconomic areas:
- Agriculture and Livestock
- Energy
- Industry
- services and commerce
- Mobility infrastructures
- Research and training
- Health
- Tourism
- Urbanism and housing
In addition, the new strategy incorporates insurance and the financial sector, natural risks and civil protection; and in territories, the impact on the mountains, the interior and the coast is included.
