FRIBIN has resumed normal operations, ensuring the supply of meat of the highest quality, hygiene, and safety. Thanks to the effectiveness of its quality protocols and, above all, the exemplary commitment of its team, according to a statement, “we were able to act quickly and responsibly in response to the power outage that affected a large part of the Iberian Peninsula on Monday, April 28. In our case, the supply in Binéfar was interrupted from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.”
At the time of the outage, FRIBIN FOODS was in full operation, affecting key areas such as pork and beef slaughtering, cutting lines, shipments, the sausage factory, and Punto Carne stores. However, more than 100 employees immediately activated the contingency plan and worked throughout the day and part of the night to transport the meat in optimal conditions to the refrigeration chambers, which operated normally.
“Thanks to their efforts, further losses were avoided and the safety of the products was protected. All material that does not meet conservation standards will be destroyed in accordance with current legislation, thus reaffirming our commitment to food safety,” the company explains in this statement.
FRIBIN is conducting a detailed analysis of the economic impact resulting from this situation, including affected products, production reorganization, and logistics costs, especially in light of the May 1st holiday.
The company also notes that it has initiated “a review of our contingency protocols to continue improving our response capacity in exceptional situations.”
