The recent trade agreement between Spain and China, signed by their respective presidents, Pedro Sánchez and Xi Jinping, opens up excellent opportunities for the export of pig’s meat to China.
Until the signing of this agreement, Spain could only export to China frozen or boned pork meat and cured with a minimum of 313 days.
With the new agreement, Spain will be able to export to China fresh meat and sausages and, among them, of course, our star product, the ham, so that the expectations are that in 2019 will surpass more than 300,000 tonnes export to China in 2017.
