From July 17th to 19th, the Benicàssim International Festival will feature a very special gastronomic stop: El Galliner’s lamb Paquito, a recipe with the identity and accent of the region.
After its visit to Meat & Fire in Barcelona, INTEROVIC—the Interprofessional Agri-Food Organization for Sheep and Goats—continues its festival journey and arrives at FIB Benicàssim 2025, one of the most iconic music festivals in Spain, where Paquito, the gourmet lamb sandwich with its own name, will share the stage with some of the most prominent names in national and international music.
For this edition of FIB, INTEROVIC has partnered with El Galliner, the bar in Faura (Valencia) run by Raúl Hernández and Javier Ríos, known for its straightforward cuisine and love of local produce. Their offering for the festival is: Paquito, made with lamb marinated in herbs, kimchi, honey, and soy, cooked at a low temperature, crumbled, and served inside a pan quemado (burnt bread), a typical bread from the Valencian Community, slightly sweet, with a toasted crust and a spongy interior. A powerful, flavorful, and characterful combination, designed to be eaten between concerts, and perfect for demonstrating that rooted cuisine can also have a festival vibe.
With more than 25 editions under its belt, FIB is one of the leading venues on the European music calendar. Its lineup has always combined established names with newcomers, and its location between the sea and the mountains of the Castellón coast makes it a must-attend event for thousands of people every summer. In this setting, Paquito joins the experience, bringing the flavor of lamb to a diverse and diverse audience.
A boost to culture and sustainability
This initiative is part of the European campaign “Celebrate everyday life with lamb,” with which INTEROVIC seeks to highlight European sheep and goat meat: their flavor, versatility, and commitment to sustainability. Once again, INTEROVIC is betting on festivals as the perfect space to bring lamb consumption to a younger audience.
All Paquitos served at FIB will be made with domestic meat from farms that meet the highest standards of animal welfare, traceability, and respect for the environment.
With this initiative, INTEROVIC continues its work of building bridges between rural and urban environments, showing the general public that lamb can (and should) be part of everyday moments as well as the most special ones.
