This fair, the most important in the agri-food sector in Morocco, brings together more than 1,500 exhibitors in its 17th edition and has established itself as a key meeting point for professionals in the agricultural and livestock sectors, notable for its focus on innovation and sustainability.

INTEROVIC attended with a prominent delegation of Spanish producers with the aim of positioning Spanish lamb and goat meat in this new strategic market. Six companies from different regions of Spain traveled to Morocco to establish business relationships with the country’s main importers.

Spanish lamb and goat enjoy considerable recognition among Moroccan consumers, valued both for their high quality and for their production system, based on a diet based on grains and cereals, which guarantees an excellent final product.

Under the international brand “Lamb & Goat from Spain,” the Spanish sector was represented at a stand that was visited by prominent institutional authorities. Among them were Ana Rodríguez Castaño, Secretary General of Agricultural Resources and Food Security of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food; Enrique Ojeda Vila, Spanish Ambassador to Morocco; José Manuel Jaquotot Sáenz, Minister of Agriculture; and Javier Sanz Muñoz, Chief Minister of the Economic and Commercial Office of Casablanca.

As part of the activities parallel to the fair, on April 22, INTEROVIC organized a B2B meeting with major Moroccan importers, which allowed for the strengthening of commercial ties between the two countries. During the event, attendees were able to enjoy a gastronomic tasting where lamb took center stage, including dishes such as traditional roast lamb and the popular “Paquito,” a new sandwich that is consolidating its position as an innovative consumer offering.
