The three organizations have coordinated to distribute hot dishes made with lamb between this week and next week, such as calderetas or pork knuckle, which will be distributed to volunteers and residents of the areas affected by the catastrophe
An action that has been possible thanks to the donation of almost 500 kg of meat by Corderex, Coviher and Carnes Oliva
The Interprofessional Agroalimentaria del Ovino y el Caprino (INTEROVIC) and the entities Mensajeros de la Paz, a charity led by the renowned Father Ángel, and the group Cocineros en Acción have joined forces to bring more than 2,000 portions of lamb to volunteers and residents affected by the recent DANA in Valencia. This humanitarian action seeks to offer support and hot food to both the communities that have suffered the consequences of the natural disaster and the volunteers who do not stop cleaning up the area, providing them with a nutritious and comforting dish in times of need.
During this week and the next, the team of cooks and volunteers will coordinate to distribute hot dishes made from lamb, such as stew and pork knuckle, prepared to distribute among those affected and volunteers in the most affected areas. This effort has been possible thanks to the donation of almost 500 kg of lamb and pork supplied by Corderex, Coviher and Carnes Oliva.
This joint collaboration between INTEROVIC, together with Mensajeros de la Paz, a Foundation with which it collaborates year after year in Madrid during Christmas, and Cocineros en Acción highlights not only the role of food in the emotional and physical recovery of those affected, but also the power of solidarity in times of crisis.
