The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has approved the extensions of the standard presented by Interporc, together with the interprofessional olive oil standard. The Interporc standard extension will be in force for four campaigns, from November 18 to November 17, 2028.
This standard extension establishes the mandatory financial contribution to support livestock production, marketing activity, the defense of the sector’s image and reputation, the area of science and health and comprehensive sustainability during the next four campaigns.
The financial contributions to the interprofessional standard are configured in two types:
A production contribution of 0.055 euros for each live white-coated adult pig raised in Spain and delivered to a slaughterhouse located in Spanish territory for slaughter.
And another for slaughter and marketing, also of 0.055 euros, for each specimen of the same characteristics slaughtered in a slaughterhouse located in Spanish territory or imported channel.
Between 43% and 50% of the financial contributions will be allocated to support for marketing and to defend the general image of the sector as a group.
In addition, between 30% and 36% may be allocated to the line of comprehensive support for pig farming; between 11% and 13% to support the comprehensive sustainability of the sector, and up to a maximum of 10% to the administration and management tasks of the different actions subject to the extension of the standard.
