Leather Cluster Barcelona, represented by its project managers Carla Vélez and Jonatan Cuadrado, participated in the 13th Strategic Immersion of Cluster Teams, organized by ACCIÓ, the public agency for business competitiveness in Catalonia.
The event, held on July 10 at the Heretat Oller del Mas in Manresa, brought together representatives from the 27 clusters accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), which bring together more than 3,000 companies and represent 36% of the country’s industrial turnover. The objective: to share knowledge, anticipate future challenges, and generate synergies between clusters to boost business competitiveness.
Co-creation dynamics, leadership, and strategic vision
The event opened with a presentation by Joan Martí Estévez, Director of Business Strategy at ACCIÓ, who presented the priorities of the Catalonia Clusters program in business growth and generating shared value.
Afterwards, Alfons Cornella (Institute of Next by Infonomia) led the workshop “Co-creating intercluster solutions,” focusing on generating synergies between sectors.
The day continued with two parallel sessions:
“Lead, NOW!”, on leadership in changing contexts, led by psychologist and coach Jordi Molla.
“Competitiveness model of leading companies,” with practical experiences from Albert Giralt (Avinent) and Marissa Costa (TOUS), moderated by Anna Monjo (ACCIÓ).
Commitment to the Catalan cluster model
The meeting concluded with a space for collective reflection on the future challenges of the Catalan cluster model, highlighting the importance of collaboration to strengthen competitiveness and innovation.
At Leather Cluster Barcelona, we reaffirm our commitment to developing strategic projects that boost the leather ecosystem based on sustainability, cooperation, and shared value. The cluster is part of the Catalonia Clusters program, supported by ACCIÓ.
