Within the framework of the Strategic Training for Project Managers, an initiative organised by ACCIÓ through the Catalonia Clusters programme, around twenty Catalan clusters, including Leather Cluster Barcelona, have been in Linz on a training trip where they have got to know Upper Austria, a very relevant region in industrial terms within Austria with a solid experience in cluster policy.
Through this training for Project Managers, the different Catalan clusters have had the opportunity to learn about the impressive ecosystem of the Austrian cluster and be inspired by visits such as those to the Tabakfabrik in Linz, an old tobacco factory converted into spaces for companies.
Carla Vélez, Project Manager of Leather Cluster Barcelona, has participated in this mission in Austria, which has been accompanied by the ACCIÓ Cluster Unit and Alberto Pezzi, Senior Manager of Clusters.
Through networking meetings, the Linz conferences have also been key to promoting new opportunities for cooperation between the different clusters. A good experience that has allowed us to identify potential projects, establish international relations and share knowledge and innovation.
Leather Cluster Barcelona is one of the 27 clusters accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
