We are not better than other sectors, we know, but we are not worse. Let’s not criminalize a sector of the live many millions of people. For two weeks we have the environment has been the protagonist. Why we got here and how can we get out. We are all worried. Because the planet belongs to everyone. And we all have to live in it, in the best possible way.
During this week, activists such as Greta Thunberg or former US Vice President Al Gore have let us know that we can enter a phase of no return.
We must work together, leaving aside the discordant positions, focusing on what unites us and abandoning the climate fake news that focus on the livestock sector as the only one that causes climate change.
We are not. And from this medium we want to claim that we have worked, we are working and we will work in the future so that the sector has a neutral emission level in 2050.
This is the objective. And from Anafric, in collaboration with the UECBV and the new European Commission we will focus our way on achieving it. But for this it is necessary to know the sector closely. Speaking for speaking without arguments, is over. Through the European #Meatthefacts campaign we will respond with data, with total transparency, but in an energetic way.
Let’s stop targeting the sector! We are not better than other sectors, we know, but we are not worse.
Let’s not criminalize a sector of the live many millions of people.
