More demand for offal this Christmas

The meat sector faces a stable Christmas and this year with new presentations in which offal takes center stage. This is reported by EFEAgro citing sources from Mercabarna, the main wholesale market for fresh food in Europe in terms of sales volume, where they have noticed the return of interest in offal, in products such as tongue, caipota or tripa.

Among the meats, lamb is a reference point during these holidays for lovers of its flavor. The fifth range (ready to heat and consume) has settled in the collective imagination of many customers who see it as synonymous with Christmas. The demand for Segovia Suckling Pig with Guarantee Mark increases by 25% in December, selling 15,000 units compared to 12,000 in a normal month.
