The Community of Madrid is going to allocate more than 7.5 million euros in extraordinary and urgent aid to farmers and ranchers to deal with the impact of the drought, which is affecting the whole of Spain.
It will be an “extraordinary line” of aid, as explained by the president of the community, Ysabel Díaz Ayuso, who expands the information, stating that 3.4 million will be allocated to ranchers and another 4.2 million direct subsidies per hectare to the sectors rainfed crops (lentils, wheat, chickpeas, etc.) offset the increase in seed prices due to the war in Ukraine and the impact of the drought.
The Community ensures that agriculture and livestock in Madrid are growing and creating more jobs.
