On July 8, Zaragoza will host the Aragón Pork Forum, organized by INTERPORC under the slogan “Transforming the present to lead the future.” The event will bring together representatives from the pork sector, experts, authorities, and young professionals to analyze the challenges and opportunities facing the pork industry at a key moment.
The event will be held in the Inés de Poitiers Room of the Doña Petronila Hotel and will feature the institutional participation of the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, who will open the forum.
Topics to be addressed include:
- An analysis of the current situation of the pork sector in 2024, by Alberto Herranz, General Director of INTERPORC.
- Opportunities for pork in organized catering and among young people, with a presentation by Lorenzo Mazzuchelli (KANTAR).
- A roundtable discussion on the role of pork in Aragon as an economic driver and a benchmark for sustainability, with representatives from ANPROGAPOR, ANICE, Agrifood Cooperatives, and the Government of Aragon.
- A debate that seeks to dispel stereotypes about meat production and consumption, with voices from the scientific, medical, and sports worlds.
- A final panel discussion on competitiveness and international projection will feature executives from Piensos Costa, Grupo Jorge, Grupo Vall Companys, and Deloitte.
In addition, the generational shift in the sector will be addressed with testimony from young professionals, and a cocktail party with ham tasting will be offered.
Journalist Roberto Brasero will host the event, which will conclude with a closing keynote address by Manuel García, president of INTERPORC.
