Presentation of the book “The challenges of the pork sector” on July 19

Presentation of the publication ‘The Challenges of the pork sector’ next Friday, July 19 at 12:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Madrid. Pigs are the most representative livestock sector in Spain. A modern and responsible livestock farming model that seeks not only to lead in terms of production volume, but also in the quality and sustainability of its processes throughout the entire chain.

With this publication, Cajamar and INTERPORC want to promote the generation of new ideas and technologies so that the Spanish pork production chain progresses, jointly and simultaneously, in the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social and environmental. And, furthermore, do so by responding to the demands of consumers and society.

The president of Cajamar, Eduardo Baamonde, and the president of INTERPORC, Manuel García, will participate in the welcome.

Next, the publication will be presented by Manuel Lainez, director of Fundación Grupo Cajamar, and Yolanda Parrilla, head of livestock at Cooperativas Agroalimentarias. INTERPORC manager, Alberto Herranz, will moderate the debate table How to consolidate leadership? and we will end with the closing by José Miguel Herrero, general director of Food at MAPA.
