INTERPORC’s participation at SIAL China 2025 (Shanghai, May 19-21) was a resounding success with visits and meetings with companies and industry professionals, consolidating the leadership of Spanish pork in Asia.
This position was emphasized by Elena Busutil, Director General of Agricultural Production and Markets of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA), who during the event’s opening ceremony underscored the leading role of Spanish pork in Spanish agri-food exports to China.
Another key event was the institutional dinner held on May 20, which brought together representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA), the Spanish Embassy in China, and executives from participating companies. This meeting served to strengthen institutional and business ties, essential for consolidating the sector’s internationalization process.
International Strategy
As part of its Plan to Support the Internationalization of the Spanish Pork Sector – INTERPORC 2025 – and on its third trip to Asia this year, the Interprofessional led the participation of 20 Spanish companies at SIAL. The 846-square-meter stand in Hall E7 consistently attracted distributors, representatives of the HORECA sector, and specialized media from all over China, becoming one of the main attractions of the fair.
