The campaign ‘For our ranchers’ has been present in the main newspapers of the written press and digital media with national circulation, as well as on radio stations and through vinyl on intercity buses in the region until March 14.
With this initiative, according to a press release from the Community of Madrid, its support has been transferred to professionals in the sector “a professional activity already punished by the rise in production costs, the price of electricity and the lack of supplies”.
In the Community of Madrid there are currently a total of 17,800 livestock farms, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, poultry and beekeeping. As for meat, it is the sixth Spanish region in production, with a turnover of 1,500 million euros in 2020, which represents 5.5% of the national total and almost 25% of the entire Madrid food industry.
