Until January 13, 2025, the exterior of the Casa de Vacas Cultural Center in Madrid’s El Buen Retiro Park is hosting Madrid Cow Gallery, an exhibition that fuses art and nature in a unique canvas, a sculpture in the shape of a cow, to show the essence of the city.
The exhibition, which until now had been on display in the streets of Madrid thanks to the signing of an agreement between the Madrid City Council and the Interprofessional Organization of Beef in Spain (PROVACUNO), brings together more than thirty artists, including established, emerging and young promises, who have illustrated these works in hand-carved sculptures.
This exhibition, which highlights the commitment of the Spanish beef sector to environmental sustainability, features renowned artists such as Maseda, Mario Arlati, Miguel Macaya, Mario Pavez, Jesús Arrúe, Eloy Morales, Rosana Sitcha, Felipe Rodrigo, Fabio Colella, Musa, Ramón Moscardó, Gregori Saavedra, Mariano Ortega, Dora Maldonado, Teresa Calderón, Enrique Barneda, Sergio Mora, Elisa Valsangiacomo, Angus and Daniel Menor.
Students from the Francisco de Vitoria University also participated, whose students were selected in a competition in which they participated with more than 300 works. The project, an initiative of PROVACUNO and Kibo Media Comunicación, has had the collaboration of the Jorge Alcolea Gallery.
