The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food has paid this Friday 16.89 million euros in direct aid from the 2024 CAP to 2,375 livestock farmers, it reports in a statement.
The payment corresponds to five lines of aid directed to the cattle, sheep and goat sectors and the department explains that another million euros has also been paid for other direct aid to 235 beneficiaries.

Since December 2024, various payments of direct CAP aid have been made, including today’s, which have been requested through the DUN 2024, for a total amount of 159,183,781 euros.
On the other hand, direct aid to the fattening cattle sector, as well as aid from eco-regimes, will be paid over the next few weeks.
It should be noted that the final amounts pending for dissociated and associated direct aid will be paid once the final unit amounts are determined, during the months of May and June 2025.
Direct aid is the main aid of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) managed by the Department in terms of economic volume and final beneficiaries, and represents more than 70% of the CAP funds managed in Catalonia.
