The livestock sector of La Rioja will receive 2.3 million euros in aid to face the war in Ukraine

The Riojan livestock sector will receive more than two million euros in aid to support its viability in the face of the repercussions of the war in Ukraine. The war conflict has resulted in a sustained increase in production costs derived from the increase in the prices of raw materials for animal feed and the prices of energy and fuel.

To alleviate this situation, the Government of the community has granted direct aid worth approximately 740,000 euros to 271 livestock farms: 196 sheep-goats, 61 pigs and 14 poultry for consumption eggs.

The aid may be combined with each other and with the aid granted by virtue of the de minimis regulations or with other aid granted, as long as the rules on accumulation contemplated in the regulations are respected. Regional aid complements the direct granting of exceptional aid by the Government of Spain.
