On October 28, the Interprofessional Agri-Food Organization of White Coat Pork (INTERPORC) will hold the Murcia Pork Forum 2025 within the Lorca Livestock, Industrial and Agri-Food Fair (SEPOR), consolidating the event as a national benchmark for the pork industry.

Under the slogan “A sector transforming the present to keep leading the future”, the forum will feature prominent business, technical and institutional representatives.

El Foro Porcino Murcia 2025 reunirá a las principales voces del sector en SEPOR

The opening presentation will be given by Juan Pedro Vera Martínez, Director General of Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Production of the Region of Murcia, who will highlight the pork sector’s role as an economic driver, an international reference and a model of sustainability.

Three round tables will follow, focusing on the key challenges for the future of the industry:

  • Animal health as the foundation of global leadership, with speakers from Cefusa, Jisap, Porcisan and Grupo Francés, moderated by Joan Sanmartín (OPPGroup).

  • The Spanish pork sector as a global production model, with representatives from MAPA, Anprogapor, ANICE and the Association of Livestock Entrepreneurs of Murcia, moderated by Daniel de Miguel (INTERPORC).

  • The new pork cycle: how to stay competitive in a global market, featuring executives from El Pozo Alimentación, La Comarca Food Group, Porcisan, Faccsa and Famadesa, moderated by Alberto Herranz, Director General of INTERPORC.

The forum will close with remarks by Manuel García, President of INTERPORC, who emphasized that the event “will bring together the business community, public administration and industry associations to share knowledge and discuss the challenges of a modern, sustainable and competitive livestock sector.”

Murcia thus reaffirms itself as one of Europe’s key engines of pork production and a model of innovation
