The Sepor Fair Hosts a Conference on Translating European Regulations into Real Decisions

Next Tuesday, October 28, the Lorca Livestock, Industrial, and Agri-Food Fair (Sepor) will host an intense conference at the stand of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, focusing on how to translate European regulations on animal welfare, the environment, and health into concrete measures for the sector.

The session will be moderated by Agrifood Comunicación, led by Ricardo Miguelánez, ensuring a dynamic pace and the participation of all stages of the chain.

9:30 a.m. – Institutional opening ceremony at the stand of the Region of Murcia.
9:40 a.m. – Keynote address by Manon Dubois (Livestock Policy Advisor, Copa-Cogeca), who will analyze the European Commission’s new legislative package on animal welfare, sustainability, and animal health.
10:15 a.m. – Roundtable: “The value chain and its stakeholders in the meat sector,” conceived as a 360-degree dialogue between production, industry, wholesale markets, distribution, and regional administration. Participants will include:

  • Francisco Miñarro Martínez (La Comarca Meats)
  • Ricardo Rubio (Mercamurcia)
  • María Sánchez Ruiz (ANGED)
  • Facundo Pérez Rubio (CARM)

The discussion will address the impact of the new regulations, the main challenges for the sector, and possible operational solutions.

11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Official presentation of the Network of Local Livestock and Meat Entities (RELGC). Following the welcome address from the Regional Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, Carlos García (President), Jorge Gallardo (First Vice President), Patricia Escuder (Second Vice President), Luis Martínez-Sicluna (FEMP), and Manuel García (Livestock-Meat Forum) will present the objectives and roadmap of the new network.
