The Spanish Butchers’ Team featured in the press

Daniel, José Luis, Ana, Toni, Raúl, Alberto, Javier (Caballero and Vaqueiro), David and Bruno are part of the Spanish Butchers’ Team, the team that will represent our country for the first time in the next World Butcher’s Challenge. This championship, which in sporting terms would be equivalent to a World Cup, brings together the best butchers on the planet. On March 30 and 31, these professionals will travel to Paris with one goal in mind: to go as far as possible in the competition and, if possible, snatch the title from Germany, the current champion.

This is how our representatives are described in La Razón, where they explain that each of the team members “stands out in specific areas within the trade: from cutting and boning to the preparation of products and their final presentation.” The team is captained by José Luis Rodríguez, with Daniel Herrero as technical coordinator and Bruno Casal in the role of coach.

According to the newspaper, the dream of participating in this event is promoted by CEDECARNE, the employers’ association that represents more than 25,000 butcher and delicatessen shops in Spain. The aim of the initiative is not only to achieve success in the competition, but also to “make this profession known and give prestige to society, especially at a time when it faces great challenges.”

You can find more information on the La Razón website.

Our worthy representatives are in continuous preparation and carrying out rehearsals all together. But we will also be able to see them live in a demonstration that will take place at the MEAT XPERIENCE fair, next Sunday, October 27 in Barcelona. It will be a preview of what awaits them in Paris and a great opportunity to see how they coordinate live!

The team was presented to the press on September 10. You have all the information here.
