The Government submits to public hearing the Draft Royal Decree that will modify several Royal Decrees related to the application in Spain of the EU model for the classification of pork, beef and sheep carcasses.
The public consultation of this project will be open until August 6, 2024. During this period, the MAPA invites all interested parties to send their objections, observations, suggestions or opinions on the proposed text.

The Draft Royal Decree amending several Royal Decrees related to the application in Spain of the EU model for the classification of pig, cattle and sheep carcasses seeks to correct errors and ambiguities in the current decrees to improve the clarity and homogeneous application of carcass classification regulations throughout the Spanish territory, following community guidelines.
Among the specific modifications, the modification in Royal Decree 814/2018 of the sanctioning regime regarding the classification, weighing and marking of pig carcasses stands out.
