Zander Foods has recently acquired Progust, S.L., the company that owns the Imperia Foie brand. This acquisition is part of the group’s strategic plan that is committed to growth and the creation of value through synergies within the group’s companies.

Imperia Foie, renowned for its duck and goose foie gras products, has a significant presence in Europe, South America and Hong Kong. With Halal approval, Imperia Foie hopes to increase its presence in key markets in the Middle East. This international expansion will increase the group’s competitiveness and consolidate its leadership in the high-quality food sector.

The acquisition of Progust SL will also imply a boost to the operations of its Riudellots de la Selva plant (Girona), where growing demand will allow for greater optimization of industrial, logistics and distribution capacity.

Jordi Farré, CEO of the group, said: “This acquisition is a key step for our strategic plan as it allows us to strengthen our presence in both existing and new markets, and to continue generating value through the consolidation of our leadership in high-quality products.”

With this new acquisition, Zander Foods projects a 25% increase in sales of Imperia Foie by 2025, thanks to the relaunch of the brand which will be confirmed by an increase in its market share in the various markets where it is currently present as well as a greater weight in international markets. The group plans to optimize the distribution of these products through its retail and hospitality channels, thus improving its global reach.
