The Spanish meat industry is a strategic sector for the economy and industrial competitiveness, with 3,481 companies, 7.4 million tons of meat produced in 2024, and a turnover of €33 billion, generating more than 113,000 direct jobs and playing a key role in the economic development of rural areas.

“ANAFRIC’s participation in Net Zero Tech will allow us to showcase how the meat industry can adopt technological solutions that optimize energy consumption, reduce its environmental footprint, and improve competitiveness, aligning with the challenges of the industrial energy transition,” stated the Net Zero Tech organizers.

ANAFRIC’s participation as a collaborating entity reinforces the forum’s vision of creating an ecosystem where strategic sectors, such as the meat industry, can access innovative energy efficiency and industrial optimization solutions, sharing experiences and best practices with other industry leaders. This collaboration highlights how technology and sustainability are key elements for maintaining the competitiveness of traditional sectors in the context of the transition to climate neutrality.

Net Zero Tech 2026 will bring together companies, associations, government agencies, and technology centers to explore innovative solutions that optimize industrial processes, promote energy efficiency, and strengthen industrial competitiveness.

ANAFRIC’s participation, the organization explains, will enrich the forum by offering a concrete perspective on the meat sector, showing how technological transformation and sustainability can go hand in hand.
