Anafric, the Meat Business Association, has announced its adhesion to the Programs for the Reduction of Antibiotics in Animal Health promoted by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS). This initiative is part of the national strategy to combat antibiotic resistance, a public health problem that requires the collaboration of all sectors involved.
With this adhesion, Anafric is committed to promoting the responsible and prudent use of antibiotics in animal production. The association will work together with its members to implement the best practices and protocols that contribute to reducing the use of these drugs, while guaranteeing animal health and welfare.
In the words of José Friguls, president of Anafric: “We are proud to join this important initiative that seeks to preserve the effectiveness of antibiotics for future generations. We are firmly committed to promoting responsible and sustainable meat production, aligned with the highest standards of public health.”
Anafric’s participation in the Antibiotic Reduction Programs in Animal Health reflects its continued dedication to improving the quality and safety of meat products, as well as its social and environmental responsibility.
