Adoberia Bella in Igualada will host “Lujo con alma. El arte de ser icono” on Wednesday 4 November at 7:00 pm and Saturday 7 November at 12:00 pm. The event is organised by Leather Cluster Barcelona and La Gaspar as part of Rec.0.
The initiative will offer an opportunity to discover the stories and expertise behind some of the most renowned leather goods houses. Through a conversation about their past and present, it will explore how these brands have built their own identities and how certain creations have managed to endure beyond trends.
From working with hides to the value of the product
The event will focus on the knowledge and processes that make a leather goods item possible: from selecting hides and transforming them into leather to design, pattern making, cutting, sewing, assembly and finishing.
This journey will highlight the importance of materials and specialised work, as well as the role of crafts and experience passed down through generations. Quality, precision, durability and attention to detail are elements that help define the identity and recognition of these pieces.
Tradition, creativity and brand identity
Another focus of the conversation will be the ability of the great leather goods houses to combine their legacy with innovation. The event will explore how they have reinterpreted their heritage to connect with new audiences and the role played by craftsmanship, communication and the stories accompanying each creation.
