From last Monday, October 16, until November 30, nearly 2.5 billion euros will begin to be distributed as funds to make the payment of advances to the beneficiaries of direct aid from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) corresponding to the aid applications submitted in 2023, between ranchers and farmers. This payment represents the advance of 50% of the CAP direct payments.
Spain asked the European Commission to increase this advance payment to 70% in a campaign marked by the rainfall deficit
In the current campaign, Spain asked the European Commission to increase this advance payment to 70% in a campaign marked by the deficit in rainfall. The advance will contribute, according to MAPA, to farmers and ranchers being able to face the beginning of the next agricultural campaign in better conditions, after the difficulties of the last one, marked by drought and economic disruptions derived from the war in Ukraine.
The rest of the direct payments for the 2023 CAP campaign must be paid by all autonomous communities starting December 1. When the final payment period ends, on June 30, 2024, 4,875 million euros will have been paid in direct aid to the sector.
The rest of the direct payments of the 2023 CAP campaign must be paid compulsorily by all autonomous communities starting December 1
