Campaign to promote the consumption of suckling lamb during Holy Week

The drastic drop in activity on the HORECA channel, one of the main consumption routes for goats and suckling lambs, aggravated by the reduction in tourism, represents the perfect storm for sheep and goat producers. Without the usual recipients of these meats, the search for new consumption opportunities of those who include them in their shopping cart is emerging as the best possible alternative.

Faced with this scenario, the sector is going to promote initiatives to try to raise awareness among those responsible for domestic purchases of the benefits of suckling lamb and suckling kid. Meats that have been part of our gastronomic tradition for centuries and that are now at an optimal time of consumption.

The perfect excuse to enjoy your white meat in any of the celebrations that start with Father’s Day and include even Mother’s Day, always in accordance with the measures to contain the pandemic. A sustainable and delicious way to support the future of our herders and ranchers.
