José Friguls renews his mandate as president of ANAFRIC for the seventh time

ANAFRIC has held its General Assembly, during which José Friguls was re-elected president of the association for the seventh consecutive time, a position he has held since 2002.
The Board of Directors has also been ratified, endorsing its management and track record in defending the interests of the livestock and meat sector.

Over the years, ANAFRIC has consolidated itself as one of the most representative business associations in the national meat industry, bringing together companies from all segments —sheep and goat, beef, and pork— and with a presence throughout Spain.

Continuity in defending the sector

In this new term, the Board will continue to focus its efforts on strengthening the positioning of the meat sector, both nationally and internationally, highlighting its economic, social, and territorial contribution.

The main strategic priorities for this stage include:

  • Reinforcing the value and image of meat as a high-quality, safe, and essential food within a balanced diet.

  • Simplifying administrative bureaucracy by promoting more agile and effective communication with public administrations.

  • Defending the sector’s competitiveness in the face of new regulatory, environmental, and market challenges.

Friguls also emphasized that joint work between companies, associations, and administrations is essential to ensure the future and sustainability of the sector.

“The Spanish meat industry is a driving force for the economy and employment, especially in rural areas. Our priority is to continue providing solutions, creating opportunities, and firmly defending the work of all the professionals who make up this value chain,” he added.

With this renewal, ANAFRIC reaffirms its commitment to sustainable growth, quality, and modernization of the Spanish livestock and meat sector.
