Presentation of the Meat and Distribution Alliance at the Ministry of Agriculture

On February 17 at 11:30 a.m., the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will host the Presentation Conference of the Meat and Distribution Alliance, an initiative promoted by the Foro Ganadero-Cárnico, Asedas and La Distribución Anged.

The event will take place at the West Atrium (Lucernario Oeste) of the Ministry (Pº Infanta Isabel, 12, Madrid) and will bring together representatives from across the entire value chain with a shared objective: to convey to society, with objectivity and scientific evidence, the reality of livestock farming, meat processing and distribution activities.

The conference will open with an institutional welcome by Ana Rodríguez, Secretary General for Agricultural Resources and Food Safety, alongside representatives of the promoting organizations.

The programme includes the keynote speech “Narrative and Emotion in Livestock Production and Meat”, delivered by Manuel Lainez, Director of Fundación Cajamar, followed by a roundtable discussion entitled “Collaboration Across the Value Chain in the Service of Consumers”, moderated by economic journalist Íñigo Inchusta. The debate will feature representatives from the consumer sector, distribution and the livestock-meat industry.

The session will highlight the importance of strengthening cooperation between production, industry and distribution in order to provide consumers with accurate information, transparency and confidence.

The event will conclude with a networking reception.
