Rising costs and war in Ukraine prompt UK to delay food control until 2024

According to the headline Eurocarne.com, the UK government has announced a delay in import controls on EU goods entering Britain in light of the current supply chain problems caused due to the war in Ukraine and rising global energy costs. The controls, which were due to take effect on October 1, 2022, are now postponed until January 1, 2024.

The legislation was established for European products entering the UK such as beef, olive oil or fruit, vegetables or wine.
