The Lleida Territorial Planning Commission has issued a favorable report on the environmental impact assessment for modifying the Alcoletge Municipal Urban Development Plan (Lleida). This step represents a key advance for the expansion project of the feed mill that the Vall Companys group operates in the municipality.

The Catalan Government’s Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition has confirmed the decision, recalling that last August, the Minister of Business and Labor, Miquel Sàmper, declared this expansion a strategic project for Catalonia, given its importance in the agri-food chain.
The urban planning modification will allow the reclassification of the land occupied by the plant to increase the land designated for economic activity and enable the expansion of production capacity, which will increase from 200,000 to 400,000 tons of feed per year.
With this favorable report, the Department concludes that the proposal meets the necessary urban and territorial requirements, allowing the project to continue its processing towards its final approval.
