EU-US relations: cooperation to avoid trade tensions

The day begins with an internal session dedicated to assessing the status of the agreement reached last summer between the EU and the United States, designed to prevent a potential escalation of tariffs between the two powers.
Later, the ministers will share a working lunch with US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, with whom they will discuss the next steps for implementing the agreement and expanding the sectors exempt from tariffs.

During their visit to Brussels, Lutnick and Greer also have meetings scheduled with senior European officials, including Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen.
