The OIE reports the ban on importing poultry from Ukraine due to a bird flu outbreak

The World Organization for Animal Health has released a statement on bird flu in Ukraine: Imports of poultry meat from the country are prohibited. The EU authorities have been informed on January 23 of the latest measures taken by Ukraine to eliminate the outbreak of bird flu at the Hutir PE farm (Bugakov village, Nemyriv district, Vinnytsa region), which contained around of 98,000 birds.

The EU has the collaboration of Ukraine and its full transparency in this matter, although to prevent the spread of bird flu and as a precautionary measure, the importation of poultry meat from all over Ukraine has been banned.
