At the Alimentaria 2026 trade fair, the sixth edition of the report “Analysis of Agri-food Exports” was presented, confirming the sector’s strength in international trade.
According to the study, Spanish agri-food exports reached €77.227 billion, representing a 4% increase and consolidating a trade surplus of €17.615 billion.
The report highlights the strategic role of the sector, which accounts for 20% of Spain’s total goods exports, as well as its positive evolution over the last decade, driven by modernization and expansion into new markets.
Within the meat sector, performance has been uneven, with significant growth in some categories and adjustments in others, in a context marked by changes in international demand and the diversification of export destinations.
