The table has been established to monitor the concerns of farmers and ranchers

The monitoring table for compliance with the actions included in the document with the 43 measures agreed upon by farmers and ranchers after the protests in the sector last February has been formed with the presence of the undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food , Ernesto Abati, and the Secretary General of Agrarian Resources and Food Security, Fernando Miranda, along with two representatives of each of the two agricultural organizations that signed the agreement: Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers (UPA) and Union of Unions.

The measures include aspects such as the simplification and flexibility of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), improvement in compliance with the food chain law and trade issues.

In addition, they also include responses to other concerns regarding agricultural insurance, taxation, financing and labor issues. Likewise, it is committed to holding two meetings such as the livestock forum, which will be held between May 16 and 17 in Toledo, or a specific Sector Conference to address the generational change and agree on measures that encourage the incorporation of young people into agricultural activities.
