Alimentaria Presents the Innovations That Will Shape the Future of the Food Sector

Alimentaria + Hostelco is once again a benchmark for food innovation. The event, running until March 26, will showcase more than 300 new products driven by changing consumption habits, a growing interest in healthier options, a commitment to sustainability, and the pursuit of high-quality gastronomic experiences.

Through launches that redefine traditional categories, new formats, and technological solutions applied to food, the companies participating in the Innoval space, located in The Alimentaria Hub, will demonstrate the sector’s dynamism and its ability to anticipate global market trends.

This area brings together the most groundbreaking innovations from companies across all sectors of the food industry, from classic sectors such as meat, oils, dairy, and fresh produce, to bakery, confectionery, ice cream, and preserves, as well as soft drinks, beers, dehydrated foods, and alternative proteins, among others. On the other hand, beyond Innoval, exhibitors will take advantage of the show to unveil their most special launches from their own stands.

These are some of the most innovative products at this year’s event:

Sobrasada and Sea Fuet

Fishology transforms high-quality fish and less common cuts into cured meats such as chorizo, fuet, butifarra, York ham, sobrasada, and sea lardo. They do so with a focus on the circular economy.

Gold Fuet

The charcuterie company Font-Sans commemorates its centenary with the first sausage coated in 24-karat edible gold.

Broccoli 4.0

This functional product incorporates a proprietary dehydration process that stabilizes sulforaphane and increases its concentration up to fifty times compared to mature broccoli. Its versatile use makes it a high-potential antioxidant ingredient for advanced nutritional products.

Snail Caviar

Caracoles de Gredos will present its caviar made from snails.

Egg Chips

Ouegg introduces the world’s first egg chips made exclusively with egg whites. Thanks to a proprietary dehydration technology, nutrients are preserved, resulting in a high-protein, nutritious, and tasty snack.

Sea Ingot

A reinterpretation of fish roe created by Murcian chef Tomás Écija, combining mullet roe wrapped in nori seaweed and confit in olive oil, along with a creamy roe with 98% purity.

Instant Scrambled Eggs

Álvarez Camacho presents “Egg ¡Boom!”, an instant scrambled egg ready in 90 seconds in the microwave. Preservative-free and gluten-free, and high in protein, it is offered in six varieties: classic, spinach, chorizo, ham, garam masala, and tandoori.

Chili Pork Cracklings

Cárnicas Muñoz will present pork cracklings with lime and chili flavor, among other new products.

Truffle Honey, Chili, or Matcha Tea

Alemany 1879 blends honey from the Iberian Peninsula with gourmet ingredients such as truffle, saffron, chili, and matcha tea.

Brewery Sprouting Snacks

Los Bagazitos transform brewer’s spent grain into a high-value ingredient. With a high fiber content and 10 grams of protein per 100 grams, they represent an example of a circular economy applied to the food sector.

Avocado Potato Chips

Torres presents premium potato chips made with avocado oil. Their low-temperature kettle cooking ensures a crispy and distinctive result.

First Chocolate Sweetened with Dates

Chocolates Torras x Realfooding launches the first chocolate in Spain sweetened exclusively with dates. Presented as a clean-label alternative, it eliminates refined sugar and sweeteners, while also incorporating prebiotic fiber that contributes to digestive well-being.

Next Monday, at Alimentaria+Hostelco, the Innoval 2026 Awards will be presented to the best new products launched between April 2024 and March 2026, in the categories of Retail Channel, Horeca, Impulse, Trends, Distributor, and Product.
