Alimentaria&Hostelco 2024 grows and faces its most international edition

Alimentaria&Hostelco will celebrate one of the editions with the most participation from international companies and professionals in its history. Of the 3,200 exhibiting companies, 900 come from outside Spain and 25% of the 100,000 expected visitors will come from more than 120 countries, thus consolidating itself as a leading European platform for the sector. The industry’s major challenges and trends, such as functional foods, sustainability and AI, will be addressed in more than 350 activities and demonstrations by 700 prestigious experts and chefs.

 

 

This year the event will have 900 foreign exhibitors, more than 28% of the 3,200 participating firms and 125% more than in its last edition, in 2022. In this way, Alimentaria&Hostelco will be one of the platforms with the largest transversal offer in the sector in the international level, in which the meat sector, food service and hospitality will have the largest representation.

 

Full occupancy

Alimentaria & Hostelco will cover seven pavilions, practically all of the 100,000 m2 net of Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue. Alimentaria’s exhibition offer will be structured into 13 sectors:

  • Restaurama (food service)
  • Snacks, Biscuits & Confectionery (snacks and sweets)
  • Fine Foods (gourmet products)
  • Organic Foods (organic products)

  • Alimentaria Trends – which includes the growing segments Plant-Based, Vegan Foods, Free From (foods without allergens), Functional Foods and Halal
  • International Pavilions (a representative sample of international offerings through pooled holdings)
  • Lands of Spain (with representation of all the territories of Spain)
  • Grocery Foods (where big brands demonstrate their strength)
  • FoodTech (dedicated to equipment for the food and beverage industry).

Additionally, Alimentaria Premium, the most exclusive space of the event, will host nine select haute cuisine brands.

Anafric, always with Intercarn and Alimentaria

ANAFRIC participates in one more edition in Alimentaria with a stand of 600 m2 grouped together with 11 companies, constituting one of the stands with the largest surface area of the event and with the most representation of fresh beef, sheep and pork.
