Grants from the Generalitat to promote farms and achieve sustainable rural development

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food (DARP) of Generalitat of Catalonia has called for aid associated with the Global Operating Contract (CGE) for 2020. The maximum deadline is May 15. You can find out more about the amount of the grants in this link.

The purpose of the grants is to encourage the development of the productive, economic, environmental and social functions of agriculture, in order to foster the viability of agricultural farms and achieve sustainable rural development.

The aid lines associated with the CGE in this call are as follows:

 

Competitiveness:

✓ First installation of young farmers.
✓ Improving the competitiveness of farms.
✓ Mitigation of climate change on farms.
✓ Agricultural diversification.

 

Sustainability:

✓ Compensation in areas with natural or other specific limitations.
✓ Agro-environmental practices.

 

Only renewal and voluntary extension of commitments:

✓ Wetland management
✓ Management and recovery of dall meadows (except for the voluntary reforestation and the recovery of pastures that may not be extended).
✓ Improvement of the steppe habitats of the Natura 2000 Network
✓ Conservation of native breeds

 

Only renewal of commitments:

✓Management of fertilization
✓ Cultivated biodiversity

 

Only voluntary extension of commitments:

✓ Beekeeping for the improvement of biodiversity
✓ Alternative systems to the chemical fight (except for the actions of solarization that cannot be extended)
✓ Integrated production
✓ Organic farming: renewal and voluntary renewal of commitments, open only to new applicants who have not applied for the aid in the previous campaign, and only to new areas that have not applied for the aid in the previous campaign. .
