Increase in exports of ham and cured shoulders

Exports of cured ham and shoulders reached 458.7 million euros, which represents an increase of 9.13% until the third quarter, while volume grew by 4.21%, to 42,302.65 tons, according to the data offered by the  Consorcio del Jamón Serrano Español (CJSE).

 

 

 

By markets, within the European Union, the main buyers are France and Germany, which in addition to accounting for approximately 50% of exports, increase their value by 10.09% and 18.45%, while other European markets Those that have increased the value of their exports have been Portugal, by 27.04%, Austria, by 11.18%, and Sweden, by 3.81%. On the other hand, Sweden continues to be the European market with the highest average price, with 14.95 euros/kilo, entailing an increase of 10.11%.

Regarding the third countries that have reflected the most significant growth in terms of value, they have been Brazil, at 64.83%, Japan, at 26.77%, and Chile, at 19.74%.
