PROVACUNO, in collaboration with the Community of Madrid, has launched a new edition of “¡Hola, Don Pepito!”, an educational initiative for schoolchildren aged between 6 and 11 that combines food, cooking and learning.
The first activity was held at Gredos San Diego de Vallecas school, where more than one hundred pupils in the 5th and 6th years of primary education took part in a session with chef Fernando del Cerro.
During the event, the chef explained to the pupils the nutritional characteristics of beef as part of a varied and balanced diet, as well as the different ways it can be prepared and its place in both traditional cooking and more contemporary dishes.
The session ended with a tasting of a beef pepito sandwich, accompanied by quality products from the Community of Madrid, such as olive oil with the DOP Aceite de Madrid designation and rustic bread.

In addition to Fernando del Cerro, the campaign features chefs Javier Aranda, Javi Estévez, Miguel Carretero and Roberto Martínez, who are helping schoolchildren learn about the origin of food and the possibilities beef offers in cooking.
In its first edition, the initiative took place in three schools and involved more than 300 pupils. With this new edition, PROVACUNO and the Community of Madrid continue to promote an activity that combines education, gastronomy and tasting.
