Interview with the president of UGAMA: “The state of conservation of the camp causes fires”

In  a interview at a digital newspaper, Alfredo Berrocal presidente de UGAMA (Union ranchers, farmers and foresters of the Community of Madrid), attacks environmental policy from Madrid. “Climate change is a determining factor, but truly, it is the state of conservation of the mountains, the great forest mass, the immense pastures that are next to the urban centers and the dry matter that forms the breeding ground for there to be a fire”.

Throughout the interview, Berrocal explains that “20 years ago, there were some 400 cows grazing here, but the infrastructure has not been taken care of. The fences are totally destroyed and it is a public forest, nothing can do that other than the management”.
